Step 1 • Review Portrait Sizes

There are a variety of portrait sizes for you to choose from! I review your Reference Photo options and make recommendations based on your budget and size preferences. I work closely with you to discuss the details before I begin.

Visit my Sizes & Pricing page to review the options!

Step 2 • Reference Photo Criteria

Choose a clear photograph with accurate colors and a pose that’s full of personality! Please review my Reference Photo Page for criteria on choosing that perfect picture. I do have minimum quality requirements to ensure that your portrait is as near perfect as possible and accurately reflects your pet.

The more detailed the photo, the more realistic the rendering!

Backgrounds
I render full color backgrounds that compliment your pet. The colors and style are based on the personality of your pet, the room you intend to hang the artwork, and if you love something I have done before on a different piece!

Step 3 • Contact Meg

Fill out my contact form once you have reviewed my portrait sizes and you’ve collected a favorite reference photo(s). I will assist with the selection and will present the final portrait concept prior to starting.

Please mention if you have any specific deadlines such as a birthday or holiday.

I will get back to you with a time estimate. We will begin discussing the specifics of your custom artwork and I will get to work creating the best composition of your fur friend(s).

Step 4 • Portrait Deposit

I take a $50 (USD) deposit, on all bookings, to add you to my list of commissions. The deposit goes towards the final cost of the artwork and is non-refundable in the event you decide you now longer would like a portrait.

I accept payments through Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, Google Pay & Apple Pay.

Step 5 • Portrait Progress & Updates

I love sharing my commission progress on social media! You can find regularly updated artwork posts on both Instagram and Facebook.

If the commission is a gift or surprise, I am happy to send you updates via email/FB messenger/etc. These details will be ironed out before I start your artwork.

Step 6 • Portrait Completion & Final Payment

Once I believe I have completed your portrait, I will send you a photo of the finished work for approval.

I am happy to make tweaks or subtle changes at your request. Anything major (i.e. adding a background element) will require an additional cost.

I will also ask you for the shipping address and which method of payment you prefer. I will send you a quick overview of the final costs (including the subtraction of the deposit). Once I receive the shipping address I will securely package and take the artwork to USPS. I send the tracking link to you as well.
